The bright lights of the midway, the smells of food, and the plentiful exhibits will be back once again this weekend for the White County Fair.

Established in 1855, the White County Agricultural Fair, which is set for Sept. 1-9, has been bringing together families, friends, business owners, and rural and urban communities within White County for memory making fun.

This year’s theme for the White County Fair is “Put on Your Fair Face.” “Selfie” stations will be located around the fairgrounds as a way to capture a person’s “fair face” and create new memories at the White County Fair. Participants are encouraged to share their photos on social media using the hashtag #TNFairFaces.

Many of the things that make the fairs iconic, including pageants, carnival rides, fair food, exhibits, tractor pulls, ATV races, and more, will be here for the White County Fair once again.

A summary of some of this year’s White County Agricultural Fair events include the following:

-Friday, Sept. 1, features Senior Citizens Day starting at 9:30 a.m. and the Antique Tractor Pull at 7 p.m.

This year, gate admission will be free on Sept. 1, and the fair will be holding a food drive (one can of food per person or $2 admission fee) on Sept. 3. All other nights of the fair, admission will be $5.

Once again, James Gang Amusements is providing the midway attractions for the White County Fair. Armbands for rides will be $20 per person each night, except Sept. 1, 2, 5, and 7, when armbands will be $15. Kids’ Day will be Sept. 3, and armbands will be $15, 3-9 p.m.
