Andy Bentley Jr., 59, of Sparta, passed away May 29, 2005.
Bentley was born Nov. 23, 1945, in Beaver, Ky., to Andrew J. Bentley and Jettie Mitchell Bentley.
He was retired from Ford Motor Company.
Bentley was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Dodd Bentley, of Sparta; two sons, Terry Bentley and wife Katherine, Anthoney Bentley; one grandson, Zachary Bentley, all of Belleville, Mich.; one sister, Marie Osbourne, of Gretel, Ky.; and four brothers, Ornell Bentley, of Beaver, Ky., Joe Bentley, of Melvindale, Mich., Mose Bentley, of Taylor, Mich., and Charlie Bentley, of Beaver, Ky.

Commissioners impose Spencer impact fee

The final vote has been cast, and White County commissioners have passed a resolution to take the next step in stopping City of Spencer from dumping wastewater into Caney Fork River.
Residents of the Hodges Bridge area in White County, who live near where the wastewater would be dumped, have adamantly opposed the project since its beginning. Two years ago they led the formation of a group called Friends of the Caney Fork, which has been persistent in battling officials with Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and City of Spencer.

Long was born Jan. 5, 1934, in Atlanta, Ga., to William Francis and Minnie Pearl Parker Hicks.
She had been a licensed practical nurse.

Margaret Ann Rittenberry Neeley, 68, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away May 11, 2005.
Neeley was born Jan. 6, 1937, in White County, to Dolph and Rosie Williams Rittenberry.
She had been a seamstress.
Neeley was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Clarence and Thurman Rittenberry.
Survivors include one sister, Joyce Myer, of Red Oak, Iowa; one brother, Jimmy Rittenberry, of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were at 1 p.m., May 13, 2005, at Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Rose Chapel Cemetery.
Bro. Fate Wilson officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Williams was born Sept. 13, 1926, in Dowelltown, to Dewey and Mattie Curtis Driver.
She had been retired from Spartan Industries.
Williams was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edsel Williams; one daughter, Linda Towry; one brother, Hugh Driver;
and one sister, Leriane McFall.

The Warriors did score a goal on the Blaze which is something that hasn’t been done often this season.
