Jeremy Lee Vick, 25, passed away March 28, 2014, from injuries he suffered in a car accident coming home from work.
Mr. Vick was born Aug. 9, 1988, in Madison, Wisc., the son of Jeffrey Brian Young and Kathy Vick Young.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer Young.
Mr. Vick is survived by his wife, Nichole Charlene Klausner Vick; children, Cambrie Lee Vick and special baby Vick to be here Oct. 9, 2014; parents, Jeffrey Brian Young Sr. and Kathy Vick Young; grandmother, Ruby Vick; sister, Kimberly Young; brother Jeffery B. Young Jr.; and a host of family and friends.

Paul Ingrao, 55, of Walling, passed away Jan. 12, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Ingrao was born Dec. 16, 1958, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of Leonard Ingrao and Mamie Ortolano Ingrao.
He was the husband of Debra Connors Ingrao.
Mr. Ingrao was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Hamilton; brother, Joe Ingrao; and granddaughter, Rebecca Winnett.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ingrao is survived by his children, Cary Wescott, Patrick Ingrao, Shandie Marie Hartley Ingrao, Steven Wescott, Katie Childress; siblings, Leonard Ingrao, Grace Walburg, Linda Schwerk, Kathy Meachum, Marie Larusch, Debbie Himes, Rosie Lombardo; and 10 grandchildren.

Stephen John Robinson, 59, of Sparta, passed away March 29, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Robinson was born Sept. 5, 1954, in Surrey County, England. He was the son of Leslie Robinson and Gloria Razzell Merritt and the husband of Vonna “Jeannie” Norris Robinson.

WCHS baseball ends 14-game skid to Cavaliers

A sliding catch. Warrior catcher, Jake Young, goes back to the back stop and makes a sliding catch of a Cookeville pop up in the 10-4 win over the Cavaliers on Monday. The win was the first over Cookeville for the Warriors since 2010.

Diane Berger visited Fort Michilimackinac

When Diane Berger visited Fort Michilimackinac, in Michigan, a seed was planted that would soon take her career in an entirely new direction.

“About three months later, I was sitting at work, and this dialogue starts coming into my head about an 18th century British soldier,” Berger said. “This drove me nuts for about two weeks, and finally I said to my husband, ‘Hon, if I tell you something, do you promise not to laugh?’ He said, ‘Yeah. What is it?’ I said, ‘I think I need to write a book,’”

Life Care celebrates resident artist

Mary “Mildred” Wright discovers her talent as a painter at Life Care.

Mary “Mildred” Wright did not always know that she was an artist.
When Wright was young, the extent of her artistic endeavors involved drawing pictures for her children to color in lieu of buying them coloring books. Now Mildred is known as Life Care’s local artist.
When Wright came to Life Care she attended a painting class, but she could not concentrate with so much going on. For a little artistic solitude, she purchased her own supplies and began painting in her room.

A three-vehicle crash on Highway 70 in DeKalb County has taken the life of a young Sparta resident.
