The Sparta Little League 7/8-year-old Coach-Pitch All-Stars tournament run came to an end, on Thursday night. But like most teams don’t get to do, their season ended with a win. The All-Star team took on Lebanon All-Stars and walked away with a 7-6 walk-off victory.

With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Warriors down 6-5, Tucker Pinion hit a two-run double to give the Warriors the win to end their season on a high note.

The Warriors didn’t get going till the bottom of the second inning when they were trailing 2-0. The Warriors scored two runs in the inning to tie the game up at 2-2. The Warriors kept Lebanon all-stars off the scoreboard in the top of the third inning, and they added three more runs to take the lead at 5-2. In the fourth inning, the Lebanon All-Stars would add two runs to cut the Warriors’ lead, down to 1 at 5-4. Neither team could get much going in the fifth inning, and they headed into the sixth inning with the Warriors ahead 5-4.

In the sixth inning, the game got interesting. Lebanon got two runs in the top of the sixth inning to take the lead at 6-5. But the Warriors would answer with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure the victory.

Lucas Phillips and Callyn Sullivan each scored two runs to lead the Warriors. Kaden Seibers, T.J. Sullivan, and Eli Sims were the other Warriors to score.

Paul Dylan Bickford, Griffin Adams, and Tucker Pinion all had at lead one hit to help the Warriors to the victory.
