Tune in for a new season of WCTE Upper Cumberland PBS local program, “Live Green Tennessee,” premiering at 7 p.m., Aug. 1, and continuing every Monday at 7 p.m. Encores of each episode will air most Thursdays, at 8 p.m., and Saturdays, at 2:30 p.m. “Live Green Tennessee” combines agricultural and physical wellness as WCTE producers Craig Gray, Daniel Duarte, and Jacob Carr travel all over Tennessee in search of better ways to live green and healthy lives.

During its 9th season, “Live Green Tennessee” plans to take viewers to great places such as Emerickan Honey where beekeepers share the health benefits of consuming local raw honey. “Live Green Tennessee” also takes a look at the beautiful daffodils in East Tennessee.

“It’s all about adopting a more organic way of thinking,” says “Live Green Tennessee” host, Melinda Keifer. “The local food movement is here to stay. It’s not a new trend that will go out of style. From those of us that have been growing and enjoying local food our whole lives, I say, ‘Welcome.’ ”
