Friends of White County Animals in Partnership with Northfield Vineyards holds the 3rd Annual Wine ‘n Wags
SPECIAL REPORT – JUST IN THE HOWL-O-WINE NEWSROOM: There have been some witches busily working their “Witchcraft.” But we’ve “Been Howlin’ For You” to have a good time so we caught them in the act. Don’t let them spread their “Witchy Woman” ways so check your return addresses printed on the invitation and rsvp card envelopes. Please correct the P.O. Box No. to read FWCA P.O. Box 6231. Because of the “Bad Things” that have happened we will do a “Zombie Dance” and extend the rsvp date to October 10, instead of October 5. NOW, BACK FROM “THE TWILIGHT ZONE” and way too much “Disturbia!”
The Friends of White County Animals is promising that a Wicked Good Time is in store for all guests at the Howl-O-Wine ‘n Wags event at Northfield Vineyards, Sat., Oct. 27. The event is held to benefit the animals in White County and those who love them.
The sponsors who make this evening possible include: Payless Family Pharmacy, Airflow Heating and Cooling, Mrs. Linda Knowles, Essentials Salon and Day Spa, Sonic Drive-In, and Sparta Veterinary Services.
There will be some special live and silent auction items available for treasure hunters and to benefit the FWCA projects in the community. The live auction items include: a special motorcycle ride with County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson on his Harley Davidson that will be awarded to a winning bidder. The ride will feature a picturesque tour of White County while cruising with Denny Wayne to a favorite dining spot. A Hippie Jack Upper Cumberland Experience and a VIP Tour arranged by White County Chamber President Marvin Bullock are two more exciting live auction opportunities. Mr. Bullock will accompany up to 7 people in a ride along to visit some of the most beautiful venues this side of the Mississippi here in White County where we enjoy waterfalls and a wonderful history. Sparta Fire Chief Kirk Young has a special treat in store for a winning bidder. Valuable, pet and owner approved PetSafe products will be another feature of both the live and silent auctions. Several hand crafted original wood furniture creations will be featured. A signed, matted and framed animal print from a famed animal artist will be another prize for the winner’s home. Autographed CD’s from Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton and Kenny Chesney will be very desirable choices for the right bid. Are you a fan of “The Walking Dead” or Aretha Franklin? If so, we have some autographed treasures for your collection. Look for exciting surprises but some we’re keeping under our witch’s hats till the .
As a special tribute, the evening will be dedicated to the memory of Dr. Alan Tatum, a friend and supporter of the Friends of White County Animals since it was founded as well as his dedication to the community.
The tickets, $50 per person, are by invitation only and will include 2 drink tickets which includes the NFV specially vinted wines in addition to draft beers, hard cider and non alcoholic selections. Furnished for the guests will be hors d’oeuvres, a catered, plated dinner, music, dancing and some scary stuff mixed in to make it a “Thriller” evening. Photographer Brandon Malone will be present to take professional photos for the guests. There may be some “Abracadabra” taking place during the evening so please contact FWCA thru their website at www.friendsofwhitecountyanimals.org, email at firstname.lastname@example.org or facebook to request an invitation. The suggested attire is your favorite Howl-O-Wine costume or business attire if preferred. There will be a contest to award some of the most creative, scariest and couples’ costumes.
