Amie Ruth Long

Amie Ruth Long, 81, of Cookeville, passed away Oct. 16, 2005.
Long was born, Sept. 28, 1924, in White County, to Casto Cash and Louisa Lee Cash.
She attended Stone Seminary Free Will Baptist Church and Pleasant Ridge Free Will Baptist Church, was a farmer and a homemaker.
Long was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Long; three brothers, Grady Cash, Hollie Cash and Bethel Cash; sister, Ernestine Polston; and nephew, Kenneth Cash.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dan Hacker, of Cookeville; brother-in-law, S.T. Polston, of Sparta; two sisters-in-law, Ophin Whiteaker, of Sparta, Essie Long, of Cookeville; niece, Cheryl Harvey; four nephews, Steve Cash, Ronnie Cash, James Polston and Norman Polston.
Services were 2 p.m., Oct. 19, 2005, at Whitson Funeral Home with burial in Stone Seminary Cemetery.
Bro. Buddy Henry and Bro. Cleve Hitchcock officiated.
Whitson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
