Ann Gail Hatfield Ditmore

Ann Gail Hatfield Ditmore, 72, of Springfield, passed away Jan. 4, 2018, at Saint Thomas West Hospital, in Nashville.

Mrs. Ditmore was born July 6, 1945, in Sparta, to Adas Hatfield and Ann Eldridge Hatfield.

She was a member of Springfield First United Methodist Church. She worked as a rehabilitation counselor who won the Elkins Award, in Indiana, in 1973, for her work.

Mrs. Ditmore was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Ted William Nader Rheingold.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Roy Y. Ditmore Jr.; daughter, Molly Suzanne Ditmore, of San Francisco, California; her granddaughter, Mabel Ditmore Rheingold; and sisters, Sue (Wayne) Rogers, of Sparta, and Sandra Patterson, of Manchester.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Jan. 10, 2018, in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Her Sunday School class, The Nancy Coleman Class, will serve as honorary pallbearers. Her remains will be cremated after the service. The family will receive friends noon-1:45 p.m., Jan. 10, at the funeral home.

Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
