Anna Pearl Walker Slatten

Anna Pearl Walker Slatten, 86, of Sparta, passed away Dec. 29, 2018, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.

Mrs. Slatten was born April 19, 1932, in the Cherry Creek community of White County.

She was a former shirt factory worker and a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, visiting with family, and caring for her Yorkies, Cupcake and Lucy.

Mrs. Slatten was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Slatten; father, James D. Walker; mother, Maggie Belle Weaver Walker; a sister Kathleen; and brother, James Earl.

Survivors include her daughter, LaWanna Slatten, of Sparta; sister, Barbara Pullins, of Indiana; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service was 1 p.m., Dec. 31, 2018, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Plainview Cemetery in the Cassville community.  Jonathan Savage officiated.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hunter Funeral Home.

    my mother barbara will miss the good conversation on the phone with her. she enjoyed the time she spent with her. she was a good sister to her. i her niece liked all the good times i had at sparta,tenn. at her house on love street. god bless .
