Arthur Miller Cummings, 90, McMinnville, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2001.
Cummings was born October 30, 1911, in Warren County, to Homer Cummings and Arrie Mitchell.
He attended Way of the Cross Baptist Church.
Cummings was a retired truck driver with the State Highway Department in Van Buren County.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Treva Cummings; one son, Gerstil Leon Cummings; one grandson, Lawton Brown, Jr.; two granddaughters, Brenda and Belinda Howell; and one brother, Clifford Cummings.
Survivors include his wife, Lodemia McCoy Cummings of McMinnville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stella and Lawton Brown of McMinnville and Reba Hale of Doyle; four grandchildren, Danny Cummings, Angel Fults and Annette McKeehan of McMinnville; one step grandson, Lewis Brown of Smartt; 13 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Beecher Cummings of Bon Air; two half brothers, Vascoe Presley of McMinnville and J. D. Presley of Spencer; two half sisters, Betty Johnson and Nannie Osburne both of Spencer.
Services were held Thursday, November 1, 2001, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of High Funeral Funeral Home with burial in Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. Ray Skyles and Ray Gilder officiated.
High Funeral Home in McMinnville was in charge of arrangements.
