Bernadette Mae Dolente, 60, of Sparta, passed away Aug. 10, 2009, at home, after a short battle with cancer.
Mrs. Dolente was born May 20, 1949, in Trinidad, Colo.
She had been employed as a Walmart associate. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her children and all the lives she touched.
Mrs. Dolente was preceded in death by her father, Max Lopez, of Las Vegas, N.M.; a sister; and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Michael Dolente, of Sparta; mother, Geneva Zamora, of Sparta; sister, Germaine Lopez, of Las Vegas, N.M.; brothers, Faustin Lopez, of Denver, Colo., Gary Lopez and Martin Lopez, both of Las Vegas, N.M.; five sons, Erik Dolente and Jennifer Jacobs, of Sparta, Lester Dolente and wife Beth, of Cookeville, Christopher Dolente, of Sparta, Jonathan Dolente and wife Amanda, of Sparta, Charles Dolente and wife Andrea, of Sparta; two daughters, Michelle Davis and husband Michael, Deborah Elrod and husband Matthew, all of Sparta; grandchildren, Bryant Dolente, Erika Dolente, Braxton Dolente, Boston Dolente, Kennedy Dolente, Taylor Dolente; and a special niece and nephew, Rachel Bajrovic and Brent Perkins.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Aug. 14, 2009, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Frasier Chapel Cemetery, in White County. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m., Aug. 13, at the funeral home.
