Birdle Lee Sparks Frasier, 71, of Sparta, passed away Friday, October 5, 2001, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Frasier was born January 17, 1930, in Putnam County, to James Haskell and Harriett Elizabeth Henry Sparks.
She was a housewife.
Frasier was preceded in death by one son, Donovan Frasier; two brothers, John Cleveland Sparks and Charles Sparks; and two sisters, Elizabeth Sparks Bennett and Vinnie Jane Sparks Prater.
Survivors include her husband, William C. Frasier of Sparta; three sons, Terry Frasier of Texas and Travis Frasier and Matthew Frasier both of Sparta; one daughter, Thresia Marla Cobb of Clarkston, Michigan; three brothers, Frank Sparks and Dave Sparks both of White Oak Flatt and A. V. (Chuck) Sparks of Bangham; three sisters, Mary Ann Rohlier of Hazel Park, Michigan, Betty Jean Fletcher of Clinton Township, Michigan, and Carol Viers of Michigan; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday, October 8, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Sparta First Free Will Baptist Church with burial in Old Bon Air Cemetery. Rev. Marvin D. Horton will officiate.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
