The Bon Air Mountain Historical Society approached Steering Committee A, on Monday night, about procuring funds for the new Historic Bon Air Railroad Depot.

The project being proposed would use funding from the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s “Transportation Alternatives Program” to build a historical reproduction of the Bon Air Railroad Depot for educational purposes.

In old business, the committee discussed whether or not to hire MG Entertainment to work at the Fourth of July celebration this year. It was decided the request to work the show on the was submitted too late and that they would roll it over to a fall meeting, in 2018, or early spring, in 2019.

The committee then continued to new business, to which there was none, and then adjourned. The next Steering Committee A meeting will be 5:30 p.m., July 2, 2018.
