Carl Clay Green

Carl Clay Green, 82, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 22, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Green was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Sparta, to James E. and Louella Adair Green.
He had been employed as a factory worker and a farmer.
He had been a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Green was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; two brothers; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Virginia Bradley Green; three daughters, Carla Ruth Lizarraga and her husband Isaac, of Marietta, Calif., Virginia Faye Tines and her husband Don, of Enid, Okla., and Barbara Templeton and her husband Jerome, of Maryville; two sons, Eston Green and his wife Debbie, of Sparta, and Roy Powell and his wife Shirley, of Sparta; one brother, Carmen Ray Green and his wife Jean, of Crossville; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m., Jan. 25, 2007, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Bro. Bransford England will officiate.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home-Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
