Mary Delma Langford, 85, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 29, 2007.
Langford was born June 28, 1922, in Overton County.
She was a member of Almyra Methodist Church.
Langford was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Harley Langford; and one son, Ray David Langford.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Langford, of Sparta, Ruth Langford, of Cookeville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Cindy Langford, Jack and Marilyn Langford, all of Sparta; grandchildren, Harli Jordon Langford, Raeanna Marie Langford, both of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.

Lavaughn Franklin Young, 35, of Smithville, passed away Nov. 26, 2007.
Young was born April 8, 1972, to Ronnie Lavaughn Young and Velda England Cope.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Treva England, Roy Vaughn Young, and one uncle, Roger Dale Young.
Survivors include his mother, Velda England Cope, of Smithville; his father, Ronnie Lavaughn Young, of Sparta; his step-father, Clyde Cope, of Smithville; two brothers, Darren Young and his wife Carol, Jeremy Brian Young, all of Sparta; his grandmother, Virgie Young, of Smithville; aunt and uncle, Darlene and Mike Zinsky, of Sparta; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Joshua Ray Orris, 17, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 17, 2007.
Orris was born Feb. 28, 1990, to Stanley Orris and Leah Blodgett Orris.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leah Blodgett Orris and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thadeus Blodgett and Ralph and Juanita Orris.
Survivors include his father, Stanley Orris, of Sparta; one brother, Jeremiah Blodgett, of Sparta; three aunts, Tricia Leatham, of Gallatin, Billie Clark, Marylene Yates, both of Quebeck; and one uncle, Mark Orris, of Cookeville.

Daniel Baxter “Brack” Felton Sr., 89, of Sparta passed away Nov. 19, 2007.
Felton was born Aug. 5, 1918, in Nashville, to Charlie Clay Felton and Zula Mae Robbins Felton.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a farmer.
Felton was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jay Felton; and two sisters, Charlie Mae Hudgens and Edna Elkins.

Holman and her mother Doris Caton traveled for years as vendors on the Native American Pow-Wow circuit. Always remembering their heritage, the two remained devoted to the traditional ways of handcrafting jewelry, Native American regalia and artwork.

Katherine Jane Porter, 80, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 16, 2007.
Porter was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, to Leonard Ralph Snyder and Bertha Caroline Williams Snyder.
She was a retired secretary for Ethyl Corporation in Detroit, Mich.
Porter was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Brooks Porter; and one son, Leonard Kevin Porter.

Ola Mae Vaughn, 76, of McMinnville, passed away Nov. 8, 2007.
Vaughn was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Warren County, to Worth Dennie Jones and Nora Lee Masters.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and had been a restaurant cook.

Ray Tollar and his son Lake have been making plans for their new business for a long time.
Originally from Florida, the Tollar family moved to Tennessee in hopes of building their dream. With nine months of preparation, Warfare Paintball has four of its six fields open for business. The fields can accommodate up to 40 people at a time. They are public fields, and no reservations are required. Business hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. A person must be at least 10 years old to play.
There are four different types of fields available: speedball, assault field, urban field and woodsball.

Cora Lerline Winnett, 91, of Lewisburg, passed away Nov. 7, 2007.
Winnett was born Dec. 14, 1915, in Giles County, to Lewis A. and Mammie Jones DeFoe.
She was a member of Westvue Church of Christ and had retired from Durango Boot Company.
