One of four winners. Dylan Pryor was one of four Warriors who won their matches helping WCHS advance to the tennis district championship match. WCHS defeated Cookeville to earn the spot in the finals.
The Warrior tennis team finds themselves within one team win of the their first trip to the region tournament in many years.
The WCHS boys defeated Cookeville in the semifinals on Friday to earn a spot opposite Warren County in the District 6AAA championship match. The winner will earn a trip to the Region. The Warriorettes, however, were defeated in the semifinals by Warren County bringing their season to an end.

White County High School had three representatives make appearances in the District 6AAA tennis tournament semifinals, but none were able to advance on to the finals and missed out on berths to the region.
The individual portion of the 6AAA tennis tournament took place Monday and Tuesday at Cookeville High School. Each school in the district could have two participants in doubles and singles for both boys and girls.

The White County High School tennis teams traveled to Chattanooga over the weekend to compete in the Big Bang Tournament.
Both the Warriors and Warriors won two and lost one of their matches. The Warriors just missed out on a first place finish in the event with the loss in their final match.

The White County High School tennis teams traveled to Crossville last Thursday to take on Stone Memorial High School in a non-district encounter.
The Warriors picked up the narrow 5-4 win over the Panthers while the Warriorettes fell 3-6 to the Lady Panthers, who have won six in a row.
The afternoon started with doubles action. On the boys’ side, Jonathan Griffin and Caleb Winton suffered a 3-8 loss to Dylan Nelson and Mark Brown. Nelson will be playing tennis for Cumberland University next year.

The Warriors lost their first match of the season and as a result fell into a three-way tie for first place in District 6AAA. A win over the Pioneers would have given WCHS the regular season title.
In a match that took almost three weeks to complete, the White County High School tennis teams were both defeated by the visiting Warren County teams on Tuesday.

Ready to serve. Jinya Brown gets ready to serve during a recent tennis match. Both the Warriors and Warriorettes defeated Coffee County Tuesday in a District 6AAA match.
The Warrior and Warriorette tennis teams continued their solid play on the season Tuesday when they picked up a pair of road District 6AAA wins in Manchester.
The Warriors stayed perfect on the season with a 7-2 win over the Raiders. The young Warriorettes edged the Lady Raiders 5-4 improving to 2-1 in district play.
The WCHS boys won five of the six singles matches on the afternoon and took two of three in doubles action.

The White County High School tennis teams hosted Van Buren County Thursday and Coach Nicole Delaney moved her positions around somewhat to give a lot of junior varsity players some playing experience.
Delaney explained, “We played mostly junior varsity and that gave a lot of girls who had never played a varsity match an opportunity to play. I was really proud of the effort and saw many things to look forward to in the future. Many of the boys will have to step up into varsity positions next year when we graduate all our seniors. The follow through. Caleb Winton follows through on his swing during WCHS tennis action. Winton was part of two wins for the Warriors as they defeated Livingston Tuesday to remain undefeated. The Warriorettes improved to 2-1 with their team victory.
The White County High School tennis teams returned to action Tuesday at Livingston and came home with wins in tow by both the Warriors and Warriorettes.
The Warriors improved to 3-0 on the season with a 5-3 win over the Wildcats. The Warriorettes also took the 5-3 victory and are now 2-1 on the young season.

The White County High School tennis teams played host to their neighboring rivals and District 6AAA foe, Cookeville, on a beautiful March Tuesday afternoon.
For the second straight year, the Warriors were able to defeat the Cavaliers 6-3, but the Warriorettes were defeated 9-0 in their district match.

Getting a win in your season opener is always a good thing. It’s even better when that win comes in district competition.
The White County High School tennis team had a great opening day of action Tuesday in Crossville. Not only did they win, but also both the Warriors and Warriorettes captured District 6AAA victories over the Cumberland County teams.
The Warriorettes picked up the 6-3 win over the Lady Jets while the Warriors won seven of the nine matches on their side of the contest.

Breaking the skid. The Warriors ended a 10-season drought to Cookeville with a win over the Cavaliers Tuesday. Caleb Winton and Jonathan Griffin got things off on the right foot with a win in the opening doubles match. WCHS started the match with three straight victories.
The year was 2000 and everyone was still relieved by the fact that computers didn’t shut down our lives when the new millennium began.

The White County High School tennis team had a hectic three-day stretch to close out last week.
They played host to Stone Memorial on Thursday in non-district action and then headed to Chattanooga for the Big Bang Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
The Warriorettes defeated Stone Memorial 5-1, while the Warriors were shut out against the Panthers. Over the weekend, the Warriors finished second in their pool at the tournament while the Warriorette narrowly missed finishing in the second spot.
