Van Buren-Spencer Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for one of the county’s notable buildings, which provides a unique array of items under one roof.
Just before the Christmas holidays, members of the Chamber joined the owners, as well as elected officials, community members, and different vendors of Hitchcock’s Building for an official ribbon cutting to celebrate the business’s new membership in the Chamber.
Hitchcock’s Building is located at 93 Spring St., in Spencer, and has been a family owned building for almost 50 years. For decades, Hitchcock’s Building was a family grocery store, gas station, hardware store, and gift shop.
Now, in its current chapter of life, Hitchcock’s Building is host to several suites that showcase numerous unique storefronts. Some of the vendors include the Shops at 93, Gwen’s Flowers, and the Loft at 93.
Filled with a wide variety of items, Hitchcock’s Building has gift items and merchandise for most occasions. Some items that can be found within the different suites include candles and crafts, vintage gifts, repurposed furniture, boutique items, antiques, flowers, and much more.
Hitchcock’s Building is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday and Friday. Call (931) 607-3077 for more information. For the latest offerings of items at Hitchcock’s Building, visit their social media page on Facebook @HitchcocksSpencerTN.
