Sparta-White County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently expressed their gratitude and appreciation to three board members, as their terms officially expired.
In addition to recognizing the outgoing board members, three individuals were welcomed as replacements for the trio that will now move on to other ventures.
Robert McCormick with AirFlow Heating and Cooling, Lance Wyatt of Jackson Kayak, and Jimmy Mansell with Peregrine Steel Company each received a plaque for their dedication, service, and commitment to not only the board but also to the community as a whole.
Following the recognition of the three outgoing board members, the board recognized and introduce the Chamber’s three newest board members: Mark Ray, of Northfield Vineyards; Kinion Dunn, of DBT; and David Vaughn, of Ben Lomand Connect.
“The incoming board members commit to a three-year obligation,” stated Marvin Bullock, Sparta-White County Chamber of Commerce president. “They give their time and lend their experience to guide the Chamber and help the community grow. The Chamber tries to keep representation from many industries represented on the board.”
Following the introduction of the three new board members, the board then moved forward with electing new officers for 2018. Rebecca Young with Life Care Center of Sparta was unanimously voted to serve as chairperson. Ricky Hodge, who is manager of the Sparta Wal-Mart, was elected as vice-chair. Misty Allen, of Cripple Creek Tavern, was elected as secretary.
In addition to the three newly installed Chamber board members, the following individuals also now serve on the Chamber’s board of directors: Diana Verble with Exit-Rocky Top Realty, Cody Wilhite with Bank of White County, and Cherri McNeil with Fragrant Mushroom Gallery.
