Charles Seals, 73, of the Hampton’s Crossroads community of White County, passed away April 8, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Mr. Seals was born May 9, 1943, in Sparta, to Jonah Seals and Lottie Ballew Seals.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a retired UAW representative chairman at Ford Motor Company and was successful in getting a chapel installed in the plant, providing employees a place to meditate and pray. He was a Master Mason in the Masonic Lodge, in Michigan.
Mr. Seals was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Yvette Seals; brother, J.B. Seals; three sisters, Marie Seals, Alene Robinson, Mamie Scoggins; and son-in-law, Donald Trusty.
Survivors include two daughters, Renee Trusty, of Walling, Desiree Conley and husband, Michael, of Smyrna; four grandchildren, Jessica Harden, of Cookeville, Priscilla Martin, of Cookeville, Audrey Russell, of Smyrna, Tyler Conley, of Smyrna; and two sisters, Evelyn Wright, of Cookeville, and Josie Masters, of Sparta.
Funeral service was 2 p.m., April 11, 2017, at Presley Funeral Home, in Cookeville, with burial in Judd Cemetery.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Presley Funeral Home, in Cookeville, was in charge of arrangements.
