CLS win girls’ coach pitch season and tournament championship

Members of the All Star Team include Chloe Anderson, Kaylie Sanders, Darla Looney, Natalie West, Lakelyn Grasty, Kadence Clouse, Marian Swindell, Kennedy Hatmaker, Callie Phillips, Haley Roberts, Haley Roberts, Taylor McDonald, Kaylen Day, Addison Howell and Kyra Fox.

In the girls’ coach pitch league, CLS was able to defeat Premier Collison in the championship game on Tuesday night 9-2 to secure both the regular season and Tournament Championship. Premier, who was the #3 seed coming into the tournament, upset Sonic, the #2 seed, in the semifinals to secure their spot in the championship game.

Premier took an early lead on CLS when Kyra scored for Premier in the first inning to give Premier the early 1-0 lead.

CLS, however, would answer in the bottom of the first inning scoring three runs of their own to take a 3-1 lead.

Premier would get a run back in the top of the second inning to cut the lead down to 3-2, but that’s all the offense they could muster up.

CLS would get four runs in the third inning and two runs in the fourth inning to secure their victory by the final of 9-2.

Darla, Taylor, and Makena each scored two runs for CLS. Callie, Taylor and Aliviah each scored a run for CLS.

Kyra and Kaydence each scored one run for Premier.

After the championship game on Tuesday night, the coach’s voted for an all-star team. The girls who made the all-star team were: Chloe Anderson, Kaylie Sanders, Darla Looney, Natalie West, Lakelyn Grasty, Kadence Clouse, Marian Swindell, Kennedy Hatmaker, Callie Phillips, Haley Roberts, Haley Roberts, Taylor McDonald, Kaylen Day, Addison Howell and Kyra Fox.
