Come visit the Farmers’ Market

The White County Farmers’ Market is in full swing at Metcalf Park, in Sparta. The market is open every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday throughout the growing season. Most vendors are in place early in the morning, and the market is open until noon. Buyers need to get there early for best selections.
Most fruit and vegetable producers have reported a good crop. They have a variety of vegetables that are ready for the market. All local gardeners and producers are encouraged to participate in the market. There is no fee for sellers. All vendors must acquire a permit through the City of Sparta.
This market is a joint effort of The City of Sparta, White County, UT Extension, and local producers. Metcalf Park is located downtown off South Church Street, just behind the U.T. Extension office.
For further information, you may contact the U.T. Extension Office at (931) 836-3348.
