At approximately 6:25 p.m. Saturday, August 25, emergency services were summoned to 12483 Old Kentucky Road to investigate a motorcycle wreck. According to Tennessee State Trooper David Hickey, two motorcycles were travelling south bound when a tractor began to enter the highway. The first motorcycle managed to stop but the second one did not get stopped in time. The second motorcycle, a Harley Davidson with a man and woman occupying it, skidded on its side throwing the occupants free. Both occupants were transported by ambulance to St. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta. Neither one had serious injuries.
