The Cookeville Regional Medical Center Foundation Golf Classic is quickly approaching. This year, the featured celebrity guest will be Willy Daunic, play-by-play announcer for the Nashville Predators.
The tournament is a two-day event with a four-person scramble format to be held Aug. 16 and Aug. 17, at the Golden Eagle Golf Club, with a separate celebrity dinner at 6 p.m., Aug. 16, at Leslie Town Centre, 1 West 1st St., in Cookeville.
Golf team registration is now open. Spaces are available for both Thursday and Friday. Those interested in signing up a four-person team are encouraged to do so quickly by completing the form found at www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.org or calling the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation office at (931) 783-2003. One team of four players is $700. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, beverages on the course, event golf-shirt, visor, and a sleeve of tournament golf-balls.
The Celebrity Dinner event is open to the public, with a limited number of pre-sale tickets available for $65 each or $500 for a table of eight guests. No tickets will be available at the door. The Celebrity Dinner will include fine dining, a silent auction, and a presentation by Willy Daunic followed by a question-and-answer session led by local sports authority Buddy Pearson.
The CRMC Golf Classic supports several of the charitable programs of the Foundation, including: Caring Hands Patient Assistance Fund, Cancer Fund, and Pink Ribbon Save-A-Life Mammogram Project.
