Danzel Poppy Swallows

Danzel Poppy Swallows, 89, of Monterey, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2001, at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center in Monterey.
Swallows was born may 3, 1912, in Overton County, to Sidney and Margaret Bowman Howard.
She was a homemaker.
Swallows was preceded in death by one son, Elza Swallows.
Survivors include her husband of 75 years, James Haskell Swallows of Monterey; three daughters, Elise Gardner of Monterey and Maybell Templeton and Magnolia Alexander both of Sparta; one son, Lester Swallows of Monterey; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Bowman of Cookeville.
Services were held Wednesday, October 24, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with burial in Welch Memorial Cemetery.
Goff Funeral Home in Monterey was in charge of arrangements.
