On June 16, 2018, the Rock House Chapter DAR hosted a Flag Day Luncheon for the Sequoyah District DAR Chapters. White County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson brought greetings. After a short speech, Robinson presented the Rock House Regent, Pamela Wood, with a White County flag to be displayed at the Rock House State Historic Site. Lunch was catered by Miss Marenda’s Tea Room and enjoyed by all. Special speaker was Tennessee Society Daughters of the American Revolution State Regent Charlotte Reynolds. She spoke about historical information relating to the United States Flag, including little known facts. As a thank you from the chapter, Wood presented a patriotic lap quilt, made by a chapter member to Reynolds. The afternoon continued with door prizes and several games relating to the flag, creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere before members journeyed home.
