David Rhoton Haston

David Rhoton Haston, 70,of Sparta, passed away May 13, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Haston was born June 1, 1948, in Fort Pierce, Florida, to George Thomas Haston and Hazel Lee Roberts Haston.

Mr. Haston was an accomplished licensed mason, carpenter, and greenhouse industry owner at which he created beautiful fireplaces and log homes. He also had a talent for growing traditional/tropical flowers and vegetables. Mr. Haston was a passionate individual who loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He was an active and dedicated member of Christian Fellowship Church for 25 years.

Mr. Haston was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 26 years, Rosalita “Rose” Ancar Haston.

Survivors include his loving children, Hope (Ian) James, David (Angela Canales) Haston; five grandchildren, Megan (Alex) Parten, Ethan (Hannah) James, Faith James, Evan James, and Tristan Haston; brother, Tommy (Barbara) Haston; sister Ruth (Dudley) Spakes; and nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Service service will be 3 p.m., May 16, 2019, at Christian Fellowship Church, 2558 Jerry Parker Rd., in Sparta, with burial in Haston Cemetery. The Rev. Bennie Ancar will officiate. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., May 15, at the church.

Thurman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
