Over 20 White County residents were served by a host of volunteers today, as a mobile dental unit was on site at The Lord’s Chapel on Hensley Chapel Road and provided care for their teeth and also ministered to their souls.

The medical dental unit is a ministry extension of Brentwood Baptist Church. This customized mobile unit provides free, limited medical and dental care to those in need and serves as a way to minister to the community as well.

What originated as a missionary outreach service in Brazil, in 2011 the ministry leadership team at Brentwood Baptist began work on a mobile dental ministry that could serve the people of Tennessee. By 2013, thanks to numerous volunteers and supporters, the mobile unit was paid in full and put into service.

On May 11, 2018, with the help of volunteers from First Baptist Church, in Sparta, and The Lord’s Chapel, who also served as host for the mobile medical dental unit, had the opportunity to serve the local community by providing teeth extractions and over $10,000 worth of dental services free of charge.
