Dorothy Louise Roberts Wilson, 80, of Sparta, passed away July 5, 2019, at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital, in Sparta.

She was born Feb. 20, 1939, in White County, to James Clyde Roberts and Lillie Mae Goodson Roberts.

Mrs. Wilson was a daycare provider and a member of East Sparta Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Roberts; infant sister, Shirley Roberts; special cousin, Gerald Roberts; and daughter-in-law, Pam Dodson Wilson.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, David Ray Wilson, of Sparta; two sons, Timothy Wilson, of Sparta, Greg (Kelly) Wilson, of Sparta; daughter, Angela (Tony) Rigdon, of Algood; three grandchildren, Andrea (Rhett) Baker, Courtney Wilson, Chelsea Wilson one great-grandchild, Bailey Baker; two brothers, James “Buddy” Roberts, of Sparta, Steve (Kathy) Roberts, of Doyle; special cousins, Allene (Joe) Simmons, Lloyd Earl (Mary) Roberts, Billy Carl Roberts; brother-in-law, Joe M. Swoape; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Roberts, Willette Wilson; 10 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral service was 2 p.m., July 9, 2019, at East Sparta Church of God, with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. Bishops Donald Goodrum, Howard Thomason, and Charles Dodson officiated.

Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
