Miss Minnie Moyers was the best known teacher at Doyle College. Minnie Ann Moyers born 31 Oct 1870 Cumberland Co., TN died 30 Jun 1958 buried Greenwood Cemetery, White Co., TN, daughter of Henry Y. and Eliza Ann Hembree Moyers. Henry Y. Moyers born 13 Jun 1838 died 23 Jul 1907 buried Greenwood Cemetery. He was a photographer. He was appointed U. S. Post Master at Doyle Station on 14 May 1890. Minnie graduated George Peabody College in 1905. Union Baptist Association records shows she was over the orphan home at Doyle. Most families in Doyle have a Minnie Moyers’ story. I am seeking copies any old stories or Doyle College records that she may have passed along to her family or friends. Additionally, Polly Camp (1910), John A. White (1906) and L. D. Rutledge (1910) graduated from George Peabody College.
