Emma Lou Shockley Mealer

Emma Lou Shockley Mealer, 77, of Spencer, passed away Aug. 25, 2005.
Mealer was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Spencer to Joe Shockley and Demie Martin Shockley.
She was retired from U.S. Enterprises.
Mealer was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Mealer; one sister, Janice Swindell; and three brothers, Thomas Shockley, Ray Shockley and Johnny Shockley.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Terry Holt, of Readyville; one granddaughter, Tanya Holt, of Readyville; one step-granddaughter, Sherry Baker, of Christiana; three step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nellie Bickford, of Rock Island, Mamie Rice, of Sparta and Mattie Russell, of Spencer; and two brothers, James Shockley and Floyd Shockley, both of Spencer.
Services were 2 p.m., Aug. 27, 2005, at High Funeral Home Chapel, in McMinnville, with burial in Shockley Cemetery. Olan Mooneyham and Rob Sparks officiated.
High Funeral Home, in McMinnville, was in charge of arrangements.
