Erbie Clarence Gentry

Erbie Clarence Gentry, 76, a White County native and resident of Cookeville, passed away Nov 23, 2016, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Gentry was born Dec. 4, 1939, the son of Clarence Gentry and Veda Henry Gentry.
He was a retired truck driver and member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Gentry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carl Gentry; and a sister, Ruby Usery.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Chris Farley, of Morrison; two grandchildren, Lindsey Madewell, Christopher Tyler Farley, both of Morrison; two great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Wayne Gentry and wife Joyce, Bob Gentry and wife Reba, Eugene Gentry and wife Pat, Donnie Gentry, all of Sparta; sister, Louise Henry, of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Dec. 4, 2016, at Vervilla Community Center, in McMinnville. Chris Sparkman will officiate.
High Funeral Home, in McMinnville is in charge of arrangements.
