Firefighters respond to truck fire on Old Stage Coach Road

Multiple fire departments were recently dispatched to a truck fire that was located on Old Stage Coach Road.

On Nov. 5, 2017, at approximately 5:22 p.m., the White County E-911 Emergency Communications Center received a call about a possible vehicle fire. Initials reports stated that a pickup truck located on Old Stage Coach Road had caught on fire.

Hickory Valley, Doyle, Central View, and Mt. Gilead volunteer fire departments were dispatched to the scene, along with the White County Sheriff Department.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found a pickup truck in the ditch area of Old Stage Coach Road partially on fire. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire inside the pickup and utilized a thermal imaging camera to search for potential hot spots inside the vehicle.

Firefighters remained on the scene until the vehicle was removed and reopened Old Stage Coach Road without further incident.
