Fred Edward Marvin

Fred Edward Marvin, 60, of Sparta, passed away Feb. 13, 2007.
Marvin was born May 9, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., to Donald F. and Margaret Hacker Marvin.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and worked as an electrician.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Karen M. Welch, of Sparta; three daughters, Robin E. Lewis, of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Kerri A. Waltgenbach, of Sparta, Danielle R. Ransom, of Manchester; seven grandchildren, William E. Lewis, Samantha L. Lewis, both of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Kevin P. Marvin, of Sparta, Gary T. Ransom, Timothy E. Ransom, both of Lawton, Okla., Sylvia R. Ransom, of Manchester, Colton R. Marvin, of Winchester; one brother, Albert Marvin, of Fla.; three sisters-in-law, Colleen and Gary Hammond, of Greenley, Colo., Shawn and James Finneke, of Chicago, Ill., Kimberly and James Rombery, of Chicago, Ill.; one brother-in-law, Dennis Welch, of Tampa, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Services were 10 a.m., Feb. 14, 2007, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
