Garnet Shelton (Jack) Sherrell

Garnet Shelton (Jack) Sherrell, 71, of Sparta, passed away March 27, 2011, at White County Community Hospital.
Mr. Sherrell was born Feb. 26, 1940, in Putnam County, to Garnet Shelton Sherrell Sr. and Joyce Carmack Sherrell.
He was a 1958 graduate of White County High School and a 1962 graduate of University of Tennessee. He was a funeral director and embalmer and was the owner/operator of ReRun Books in Pasadena, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia McClellan Sherrell, of Sparta; Shawn Jackson Sherrell and wife Tamsen, of Hudson, Mass.; daughter, Valerie Clemmer and husband Craig, of Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren, Tristan Sherrell, Cameron Clemmer, Cassie Clemmer; two brothers, Dr. James William Sherrell and wife Lenda, of Monteagle, Bob Sherrell and wife Reba, of Silsbee, Texas; nieces and nephews, Marci White, of Nashville, Jimmy Sherrell, of Chattanooga, and Robin Tawwater, of Battle Ground, Wash.
Funeral service was 11 a.m., March 30, 2011, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Double Springs Cemetery, in Putnam County. Jonathan Angel and Ernest Robinson officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
G. S. ( Jack) Sherrell age 71 of Sparta passed away Sunday evening March 27 , 2011 at White County Hospital.
