Geneva Freels Davis

Geneva Freels Davis, 87, of Quebeck, passed away Aug. 21, 200 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Davis was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Morgan County, to late Earl and Nell Langley Freels.  She was a retired factory worker and a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church more than 60 years.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cos Hobert Davis, Sr.; her parents; son, Carl Lee Davis; and three brothers Earl, Lloyd and Russell Freels.
Survivors include two sons, Earl Davis and wife Jennie, of Quebeck, Cos Davis, Jr. and wife Cecilia, of Franklin; daughter, Linda Cooke and husband R.P., of Sparta; seven grandchildren, Sharon Hale, Eric Davis, Monica Richmond, Chad Davis, Nathan Davis, Kristen Slack and Alicia Ferguson; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Norris, of Lancing; special friend, Mildred Meeks; and special church family at Greenwood Baptist.
Funeral service was 11 a.m., Aug. 23, 2008, at Greenwood Baptist Church, with burial in the Skurlock Cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Farmer, The Rev. Bill Lowery and The Rev. James Bond officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
