Geneva Juanita Zamora

Geneva Juanita Zamora, 89, of Sparta, formerly of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on Nov. 24, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Zamora was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Center, Colorado, the daughter of Phillip Sanchez and the late Eloisa Trujillo Sanchez.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being active at the Sparta-White County Senior Citizens Center for many years. She loved spending time with her best friend, Anita, reading and watching “Dancing with the Stars.”
Mrs. Zamora was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Zamora; brothers, Alonzo Sanchez, Jose Eliseo Sanchez; sisters, Martha Rodriguez, Corina Mestas; and three children, Ben Lopez, Bernadette Dolente and Rebecca Perkins.
Survivors include her son, Faustin Lopez, of Denver, Colorado; brothers, Lionel Sanchez, of Tampa, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Anita Eldridge.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
