Give65 fundraising event to benefit seniors in the region

The public is invited GIVE65 at Dogwood Park, a family-friendly fundraising event, 5-7 p.m., July 11, 2018. The event, hosted by the Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability and Home Instead, will include live music, cake walks, yard games, silent auction, bouncy house, door prizes, face painting, and food vendors. Funds raised will benefit AAAD’s Senior Planning and Resources for Emergency Preparedness program which provides emergency preparedness kits for seniors in the Upper Cumberland region.
Admission to the event is free. Participants can play games for $1, and food will be available for purchase.
The silent auction and door prize items include gift cards, certificates and donated gifts from Sports One, Pennie’s Boutique, and Ambiance Nail Salon, Char, Mealfit, Father Tom’s, Crawdaddy’s, Cookeville Ford, Thoughtful Designs, Satco, Norwex, LulaRoe, Old Town T-Shirt Company, Omaet Salon and more.
GIVE65 at Dogwood Park is part of a 65-hour online giving event through the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation to help nonprofit organizations serving seniors raise funds online and increase awareness. More than 120 senior-focused nonprofits from across the United States are participating.
During the GIVE65, Senior P.R.E.P. hopes to receive up to $5,000 in matching funds from the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation®. The organization is also competing for a $10,000 financial reward. This year, there are six financial rewards to be awarded to the small, medium and large size nonprofits that raise the most money or have the most donors participate.
Donations toward GIVE65 benefiting Senior P.R.E.P. will be accepted on-site during the GIVE65 at Dogwood Park event on July 11th as well as online at GIVE65.org/seniorprep.
