Golf teams in tourney action

The White County High School golfers took part in the Keith Maxwell High School Invitational Golf Tournament at the McMinnville Country Club, on Tuesday.
The Warriorettes would finish the tournament with another top-three finish. The Warriors would finish the tournament in second place, with a 176. Makenzie Morton led the Warriorettes and finished in second place in the tournament with an 80. Morgan Quick added a 96 for the team score. Ansley Phifer also played shooting a 97.
The Warriors finished the tournament with a seventh place finish, with a team score of 356. They were only one stroke back of sixth place finisher Maryville.
Jarrett Glass led the Warriors with an 82. Tyson Welch and Jeremiah Gardenhire each shot 90s, and Trey Crockett carded a 94.
The Cookeville boys won the tournament with a 320.
The golf team is headed down the stretch toward their district tournament and will close out their season with one more home match. The Warriors and Warriorettes will host Cumberland County High School, on Thursday, at the Sparta Country Club.
