A joint investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the White County Sheriff’s Department, and the office of the 13th District Attorney General has resulted in the arrest of a woman in connection to the death of her husband.

Sunday morning, at the request of 13th District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway, TBI Agents joined the investigation into the death of Mark Twain Hensley (DOB 11/23/63), shortly after his body was discovered inside his home on Plum Creek Road in Sparta. During the course of the investigation, authorities developed information leading to Hensley’s wife, Patsy Hensley (DOB 11/22/61), as the individual responsible for the crime.

This evening, authorities arrested Patsy Hensley and charged her with one count of First Degree Murder. She was subsequently booked into the White County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
