Highway 111N is closed, TBI is on the scene

White County Sheriff deputies and Sparta Police Officers have been involved in a highspeed chase that originated from DeKalb County. 

According to a TBI spokesman, there has been an officer involved shooting on 111N associated with this incident. 

Reportedly, one persons has been airlifted by Vanderbilt from the scene.

Multiple patrol cars have been involved in this pursuit. With two confirmed patrol cars damaged. 

Highway 111 Northbound is closed at this time. Traffic is being diverted to Roberts Mathews Highway. 

TBI is in charge of the scene according to the White County Sheriffs Office. 

District Attorney Bryant Dunaway is on the scene. Along with Captain R.C Christian with the THP Cookeville Headquarters.  Sparta Chief Guth and White County Sheriff Shoupe are one the scene as well.
