I-40 closed in Cumberland County

Firefighters are currently working a tractor-trailer Fire that has the westbound lanes of I-40 closed in Cumberland County. 

Emergency responders with the Crossville Fire Department, Cumberland County Sheriff Department, Tennessee Department of Transportation, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are currently on the scene of a tractor-trailer fire on I-40 in Cumberland County. 

At approximately 11:50 a.m., emergency services were notified of a tractor-trailer fire on I-40 near mile marker 320. First responders have closed the westbound lanes of I-40 near the tractor-trailer fire. 

Commuters are advised to seek alternate routes while emergency responders are on the scene. It’s unknown at this time how long the westbound lanes of I-40 will he closed.
