James Michael Blaylock

James Michael Blaylock, 68, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 19, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Blaylock was born Dec. 22, 1948, in Pleasant Hill, the son James Charles Blaylock and Gladys Jewell Watley Blaylock.
He worked as an electrician and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, in Vietnam.
Mr. Blaylock was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Miller and Ronald Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Blaylock, of the Eastland community of White County; daughter, Cynthia Flowers, of the Eastland community of White County; granddaughter, Jessica Holt Thornton, of Pleasant Hill; grandson, Michael Flowers, of the Eastland community of White County; great-grandchild, Braxton Thornton, of Pleasant Hill; stepmother, Ethel Blaylock, of the Eastland community of White County; two brothers, Randy Blaylock, of Sparta, Terry Miller, of Crossville; and two sisters, Sandra Vincent, of Crossville, and Stephanie Ramirez, of McMinnville.
Funeral service was Nov. 24, 2017, at Bilbrey Funeral Home, in Crossville, with burial in Clifty Cemetery. Bro. Josh Myers officiated.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, in Crossville, was in charge of arrangements.
