James Richard Marsh

James Richard Marsh met his Savior, on April 10, 2019, at Emory St. Joseph Hospital, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born April 19, 1950, in Sparta, to Hershal and Geneva Marsh, he lived in several states and made many friends before coming back to Tennessee to raise his family.
Mr. Marsh loved the Lord more than anything else, and that was evident to all who knew him. He has left behind a legacy for us to follow to live graciously and love strong. Mr. Marsh was such a giving man, and, even through his death, he continues giving by the gift of organ donation to save lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, James Richard Marsh II; infant child; and mother of his two eldest sons, Kathy Wolfe.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Louise Marsh; five children, Brent, Corey, and Cody Marsh, Tyler (Shania) Miller, Hanna (Tyler) Dolin, all of Doyle; three granddaughters who were the light of his life, Ayva and Chloe Miller, Gracie Dolin, all of Doyle; his siblings, David (Star) Marsh, Patricia (Shelby) Miller, all of Doyle, Deloris Smith, of Chattanooga; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service was 2 p.m., April 18, 2019, at Thurman Funeral Home, with burial in Doyle Cemetery. Bro. Nathan Hawkins and Bro. Gene Williams officiated.
Pallbearers were Shelby Miller, Josh Henley, Caleb Hawkins, Jacob Hawkins, Nathan Humphrey, and Jessie Dodson.
Thurman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
