Yesterday, a Minnesota judge signed an extradition order, allowing local law enforcement officials to retrieve a Minnesota college student wanted in connection for the alleged murder of his father.

On May, 15, 2018, a judge in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, has ordered 21-year-old Joshua Jordi to be sent back to White County, Tennessee in order to stand trial.

In March 2018, following an extensive investigation by the White County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Jordi has been accused of stabbing his father to death, Timothy Jordi of Sparta.

Following the incident, according to the TBI, Jordi returned to his dorm at Minnesota State University where he was arrested by Blue Earth County Sheriff deputies. Jordi has been held at the Blue Earth County Justice Center on a $1.5 million bond awaiting extradition orders to be granted.

Officials with the White County Sheriff’s Department will travel to Minnesota to return Jordi to White County for him to stand trail for one count of first-degree murder.
