Joyce Maxine Clark, 79, of Kettering, Ohio, formerly of Sparta, passed away Feb. 18, 2017, at Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by family.
Ms. Clark was born April 21, 1937, in Sparta, to A.C. Crowder and Dora Mae Bumbalough Clark.
She was a retired secretary from General Motors and Fall Detective Bureau.
Ms. Clark was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Willie Jay, Thomas Clayton, Bobby, Billy and an infant; and three sisters, Ruby Denton, Jean Green and Mary Kate Polston.
Survivors include her two sisters, Mattie Polston, of Cookeville, Elise Roberts, of Corinth, Mississippi; special nieces Betty Hall, of Xenia, Ohio, Brenda Hall, of Cookeville, Cheryl Roberts, of Corinth, Mississippi; special nephews: Tommy (Mandy) Hall, Kenny (Laura) Hall, Terry (Julia) Hall; great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandon, Ryan, Jordan, Claire and Allie Hall; and best friend, Ms. Terry Russell; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Feb. 23, 2017, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Upper Cherry Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m., Feb. 23, at the funeral home. Doyle Crawford will officiate.
Tommy Hall, Rick Polston, Tommy Clark, Dale Clark, Matt Clark, Ron Ransom, Roy Green, Bill Polston, Kelly Hall and Kellie Polston will serve as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
