Elijah Kelley and Hunter Sloan fished, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, in the The Bass Federation World Championship. They competed against 35 states and one team from Canada. The first two days of the tournament, the states were divided into divisions, with one winning team from each division qualifying to compete in the World Finals, on Saturday. The boys won the Southern Division, qualifying them for the world finals, on Saturday, where they finished fourth in the world. Kelley and Sloan are pictured with Dewayne Dodson, TN Bass Federation president, and Jeff Stafford, TN Bass Federation state youth director, who said he was very proud of the boys and the way they represented the Upper Cumberland JR Bass Club, the City of Sparta, the state of Tennessee, and all of their sponsors. Kelley and Sloan each received a $500 scholarship.
