Kellie Jolly Harper is shown speaking at a dinner fundraiser, in White County, that was hosted by the YMCA. Harper and her brother, Brent Jolly, are both taking their respective basketball teams to the NCAA Women’s Championship Tournament.

Kellie Jolly Harper and her brother, Ross Jolly, both formerly from Sparta and standouts on the Warriorette and Warrior basketball teams, have been invited to the “Big Dance” in the NCAA Women’s Tournament Championship.

Harper is the head coach of the Missouri State Lady Bears.  They defeated the number one seeded Drake team to win the conference championship.  Missouri State will take on #6 DePaul, at 3:30 EST, on March 23. The game will be televised on ESPN 2.

Ross Jolly is celebrating with his team from a previous victory.

Jolly is the assistant coach of the Radford Highlanders.  The Radford women’s basketball team’s first NCAA tournament appearance in 23 years will come against a foe it has not played in 23 years. The Highlanders were awarded a No. 14 seed and will visit No. 3 seed Maryland for a first-round game, at 11 a.m. March 23. The game will be televised by ESPN2.

Harper and Jolly are excited to be in the dance, and it will take a long shot for both of them to face each other in the tournament.
