Lois Anne Goff Mayfield, 76, of McMinnville, passed away Nov. 9, 2017, at Rain Tree Manor Nursing Center, in McMinnville.
Mrs. Mayfield was born Aug. 7, 1941, in Sparta.
She was a retired school bus driver for the Warren County school system and the Manchester city schools.
Mrs. Mayfield was an active member of New Union United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, and participated in several donating foundations, such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network. She will be missed by her loving friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Leslie Goff and Jewell Bernice Cruise Goff; son-in-law, Buford Oscar “Ozzie” Bonner; sister, Joyce Evelyn (J.W.) Goff; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phillip Mayfield and Ova McBride Mayfield; and sister-in-law Katherine (Fred) Kirby.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Gene P. “Monk” Mayfield; their children, Terry Ann Mayfield Bonner, Phillip Harold “Hal” Mayfield, Tonia Jean Mayfield (Mark Edward) Latka, Tracy Jewell Mayfield; grandchildren, Breu (Melissa Lovell) Bonner, Anna Jade (Justin) Fults, Jensen and Samantha Bonner, Taylor, Zachary and Westlyn Latka, Madison and Gaines Mayfield, Alexis, Clara, and BeBe Anne Brackley; great-grandchildren, Adisyn Presley Bonner, Atlanta Jade Bonner, Stella Grace Ann Bonner, and Jackson James Gunter; special nieces, Vickie Rene Verble Latka, Vonda Joyce Verble; and several cousins, family members, friends, and the entire Goff family.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Nov. 13, 2017, at New Union United Methodist Church, 196 Union Road, Rock Island, with burial in New Union Cemetery at Highway 30. The Rev. Tim Lewis will officiate. The Mayfield Family will receive friends 2-8 p.m., Nov. 12, and 9-11 a.m., Nov 13, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Union Cemetery Fund.
