Marie Slatten, 85, of Quebeck, passed away Jan. 8, 2018, at Life Care Center of Sparta.
Born April 21, 1932, in White County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Ransom and Nora Swindell.
Mrs. Slatten was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Ernest, John H., H.C., G.W. , Jim, Bobby Swindell; two sisters, Bertha Mae, Mozell; three nieces, Doris Ray Rigsby, Rhonda Marie Swindell, Johnann Haston; and two nephews, Danny Swindell and Donald Rice.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Glenn Slatten;
daughter, Rita Lois Slatten England and husband H.L.; two granddaughters, Carol McEntyre and husband Michael,
Heather Mullins and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Aiden Mullins, Nathan McEntyre, Marin McEntyre; nephews, Billy Michael Rice, Clay Swindell, Wayne Swindell, Ricky Swindell; nieces, Wanda Savage, Linda Ann Jones, Janice Kay Haston, Vickie Goff, Karen Maxwell, Carolyn Derryberry, Kathy Seibers; sisters-in-law, Estelle Swindell, June Swindell, Mary Swindell; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Jan. 11, 2018, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Jericho Cemetery. Mike Steakley, Carol McEntyre, and Doug Goff will officiate. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Jan 10, at the funeral home.
