Meet the Shelter Night set for Oct. 5

The White County Animal Shelter is holding Meet the Shelter Night on Oct. 5 at the Blue Building to educate the community on the shelter and what residents can do to get involved.
Everyone in the community and in surrounding communities is invited to attend. Ronni Connelly of the White County Animal Shelter will be providing information to attendees on statistics, programs, policy and procedures, volunteering and general shelter facts.
Local restaurants Little Caesars, Subway and Kentucky Fried Chicken are donating food so that residents can receive a free meal as the learn about the shelter. Walmart is donating supplies and Sanda Ayers of the Blue Building is donating use of the facility and drinks for the evening.
The event stars at 6 p.m. at The Blue Building, located at 3069 McMinnville Highway.
